The move represents a significant expansion of FortiAI’s role. Initially launched as part of Fortinet’s FortiSIEM and FortiSOAR solutions, the AI-powered assistant has since been introduced to FortiNDR, the company’s cloud-based Network Detection and Response platform. Now, FortiAI is being fully woven into the Security Fabric, Fortinet’s unified cybersecurity platform, enabling AI to act as a foundational layer across all major components.

As part of this rollout, Fortinet has also introduced FortiAI-Protect, a new capability designed to monitor AI usage within organizations. This tool recognizes over 6,500 unique AI-related URLs—including popular generative AI applications—and provides insights into how these tools are being used, what data they interact with, and which models are being leveraged.
